There's no place like knitting, there's no place like knitting!! I wonder if I say that while clicking my needles, will I be whisked away from the land of chores and interruptions and dropped off in the land of knitting?

Glad to see you back! (Even temporarily...) The blogosphere in general seems to be pretty quiet these days; I think everyone is in some version of the same boat. At least your knitting hasn't suffered. =)
Looks great, good travels, and may things get better and less crazy soon!

Totally love the cast cozy. Leave it to creative knitters to make wearing a cast stylish as well as therapeutic. :)
Safe Travels as you take off here soon. So glad you are able to keep the balls in the air (or should I say stars), must be why they keep giving you more. :)

So much to respond to! I knew of many of your travails, so you know of my sympathy for them. It remains for the lingering labyrinthitis, of course, but let's not dwell on that.

Awesome knitting. I'm noticing as I've gone through some stressful days recently too (nothing like yours) that I've still gotten the knitting in. Nothing like garter stitch for soothing and nothing like socks for progress - great choices on your projects. However, I think not a great choice for the gansey hat - the knits and purls just won't show up with a variegated yarn very well. Ask me how I know. I probably have enough of the original yarn to send to you - let me get a little further on the sweater and I'll know for sure.

And I do like the broken ankle stitch - both the pattern and the name. Sure, someone else has done it before, but that's knitting.

Oh, my goodness! That's a whole lot of crazy to have on your plate at once -- I'm so glad to hear that the knitting's been a bit of sanity in all of that. Give Marie my best wishes; long healing is never any fun, and neither is anticipating surgery. Hang in there, and travel safely! :)

Wow, you need some hugs, my friend-sister... and as my elderly neighbor would say, "Gold stars!" for all that beautiful knitting. Hope you're able to squeeze in at least a little bit of Euro fun next week... xoxo
