Dear Jan,
Wilson and I have discovered an opportunity to combine our individual passions (the public ones). We call it chessknit. Two of my knitting buddies have youngsters who are interested in learning chess so we are combining chess lessons with knitting group.

W and V are both charming and bright. Just like Wilson, and much hilarity ensued. It is the high energy season of the year - hard to get a shot where one of the kids isn’t blurred.
Lisa made a bit more progress on the chenille shrug she is knitting for a winter dance;
Chris is making mittens and sharing in the hilarity. I continued work on the holiday knitting (which is blocking as I type this!).
The other big news of the day is that I successfully moved my itunes library to my Macbook.I now feel complete.
Love, Ellen
Jan and Ellen are identical twins who have always had an innate fashion sense. Crafting is an integral part of their lives and they stay stitched together sharing their love of knitting, family and community.

Nice move! Dale certainly supports my engagement in knitting, but I haven’t come up with a way to bring him along to a knitting gathering. I do have a thought though — My friend Kathy and I are thinking about trying out a dessert and wine bar down in Portsmouth as a potentially knitter-friendly hang-out so we could just get together once in a while and knit. With both wine and dessert available, I could likely get Dale to do just about anything!

The kids might be a little blurry, but those are some pretty good shots of Dad.
And that is a better combo of chess and knitting than that felted chess set we saw in North Olmsted.
